Privacy Policy

SafetyZone (operated by Powers Solutions USA LLC) is an allergen and dietary menu publishing platform. This policy explains what we collect from restaurant operators and their guests, and how we use it.
Operator information
When an operator signs up and uses SafetyZone, we collect:
- Account details: name, email, business name, role/title.
- Menu content: dishes, descriptions, prices, allergen tags, dietary labels.
- Attestation records: signer name, title, drawn signature, timestamp, IP address, browser, and version of the attestation text.
- Usage: pages viewed, edits made, and error diagnostics.
- Billing: handled by our payment processor; we receive status and last-4 metadata only.
Guest information
When a guest views a published menu, we collect:
- Anonymous session metrics: scans, filter selections, dish views, app-install clicks. No name, email, or account is required.
- Optional saved guest profile: allergens, diets, and (if the guest chooses) an email — only when the guest explicitly saves it in the menu.
- Standard request metadata (IP, user-agent) for abuse prevention.
How we use information
- Run the service and show menus to guests.
- Give operators analytics about how their menu is used.
- Improve product quality and diagnose bugs.
- Send transactional emails (account, billing, menu status).
- Preserve the operator's signed attestation as a compliance record.
What we do not do
- We do not sell personal information.
- We do not use guest allergen data for advertising.
- We do not share operator or guest data with third parties except the subprocessors below.
Subprocessors
- Hosting & database: Supabase, Cloudflare.
- Email delivery: Resend.
- Payments: Stripe.
- AI translation and menu-import assistance: model providers used only for on-request processing of menu text.
Retention
Menu and account data are retained while the operator's account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for backup, compliance, and dispute purposes. Attestation records are retained for the life of the account and afterward as a legal record.
Your rights
Operators can edit or delete menu content from the portal. To request access, correction, or deletion of personal information (including a saved guest profile), email support@mysafetyzone.com.
Cookies and analytics
We use first-party cookies and local storage to keep operators signed in and to remember a guest's language and filter preferences. We use minimal analytics to count menu scans and filter usage; these are aggregated by venue and do not identify individual guests.
Children
SafetyZone is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be surfaced in the operator portal.
